Apple has just announced its latest phones, the iPhone 17 series. That's three upgrades to familiar models as well as the brand-new iPhone Air, that takes the place of the Plus. If camping out on release day isn’t really your style, but you still need to get your hands on one right away, you'll be able to place a pre-order for the iPhone 17, 17 Pro, 17 Pro Max or iPhone 17 Air from 10pm AEST on September 12, ahead of the September 19th release date.

Aplpe’s iPhone 17 gets a new design with a slightly larger 6.3-inch display and slimmer bezels. And after years of waiting (and a ton of grumbling), the base iPhone 17 finally gets a 120Hz refresh rate.

Internally, Apple’s new A19 chip is faster and also more energy-efficient, especially when teamed up with Apple Intelligence. If you're upgrading from an older iPhone, you will experience a huge increase in speed and better gaming performance thanks to ProMotion.
About the camera, you'll find a 48MP Fusion main camera (shooting 24MP photos by default) and also a 2x telephoto lens. The device’s ultra-wide camera also gets an upgrade to 48MP, making macro photography more detailed and more impressive.
